It's an extremely smart move to hit 60 night as
late in the year as possible. I hit 60 nights in early April, and now I'm stuck with:
- Four suite upgrades which expire in April 2018 (in addition to my four which expire in February 2018) ... and therefore NO available upgrades from early April 2018 through February 2019. This sucks.
- A free night at any Hyatt (category 1-7) which expires in August 2017 ... and no chance to earn another one until well into 2018.
It's strange that a "top-level" guest who earns the "top-level" awards will actually spend more weeks (on the calendar)
without the award (because it expired) than
with the award. And the sooner you earn the awards, the more months you'll spend (at the distant end of the graph) without the award. In short, Hyatt punishes their early qualifiers, big-time.
Whoever came up with the new structure for expiration dates must have been on drugs.

to the expiration policies on the suite upgrades/free nights...
