Dear All thanks for prior advice. This morning I brought my mum on the X9 bus to Tegel. Saw her off, went back into Berlin. Did more sightseeing, went back to hotel to get my suitcase and arrived back at airport.

It really is a strange setup here. I have been twice before. But must have been asleep as I can't remember all this fuss.

So couldn't check in. But went to lounge, and they couldn't let me in unless I did some checking on my BA app. Showed them this check in confirmation on my mobile blower, and they printed my boarding card... but I still have my suitcase and am unsure how to get rid of it !!

Also I am aware this is a very strange feeling, I am checked in and have my boarding pass and sitting in the lounge having a beer (ps does anyone agree that despite this being a BA lounge it's crap (won't mention no champagne)??) , but haven't cleared security. And still have my suitcase which I am panicking about?

Anyone help with process? Have asked the BA lounge staff, they don't seem to know/care ?

At what point do I get rid of this dam suitcase lol?
