As a confused infrequent traveller please bear with me if this question has been asked. I would appreciate any information or replies re. the following. I am flying GRU (Sao Paulo) to ADD (Addis Ababa)to BOM and to BLR via Ethiopian Airlines. Reaching BOM in the morning and have the first available flight to BLR via Air India the same evening. All on one ticket. In fact Ethiopian has a code share with Air India from Addis to Bom. My question is do I request the airlines to book my luggage to BOM and do immigration and customs there and then I re-book to BLR? Or would the airlines book the luggage straight to BLR. As the BOM BLR sector is domestic, if booked straight to BLR then how do I clear immigration and customs in BLR? Thank you for any input or advice.
