For design hotels, is it possible to book a suite and BRG against a lower room rate? The hotel I'm looking at currently only has standard rooms and the next level up is the deluxe suite. There is a way to do this. Only applies in this specific situation:
. SPG is only selling Suites - book it
. External site is still selling standard rooms - BRG this rate
The rate for your suite will be matched to the BRGed rate, but your room will remain as a suite.
I've done this a few times.
Caveat: This was when Design Hotels first joined - I don't know if it still applies.
