Any experience with getting control of the window shades from the crew on daytime flights? I don't want the window dimmed so I can't see out.
In my personal experience, while they have dimmed the windows, my personal control has always worked to override it. I believe once they "locked" it at 1/2 brightness but you could set it darker. The 1/2 brightness was enough for me. If you need more, a polite request directed to the lead FA who will introduce him/herself before the flight is all that's needed.
