I just got off the phone with AAdvantage Customer Service (resolving an unrelated E-VP problem) and thought I'd ask directly about this. The AAgent read me verbatim from the new policy, which she said she had just seen for the first time this morning. Summarized:

1. EXPs qualifying or re-qualifying before May 3, 2004 will receive their fulfillment packages (including deposit of 8 E-VPs) by early June.

2. EXPs qualifying or re-qualfying on or after May 3 will be processed weekly and will receive their packages within 3-5 weeks after qualifying.

3. E-VPs will expire one year from date of issue.

I asked about this last one and waited on hold for several minutes while she verified this. Speaking as someone with 90k Q-points who will re-qualify on my next trip, I'm not very happy about this, as my 2005 E-VPs will expire in mid-year. The AAgent failed to see why I was upset...but I suppose this is an enhancement that we asked for, like the hated E-VPs in the first place.
