I am trying to choose between the following 2 overnight connections on my way from London to LA (all in Y unfortunately )

Would appreciate any opinions on which would be marginally better


1) Arrive in ATL on the BA flight from LHR, around 8pm, should be in hotel by 1030pm

Leave next morning on the 1130 AA from ATL-LAX


2) Arrive in ORD on the last AA (will be a 787), again in hotel by 1030pm, and leaving ORD-LAX next morning by 9am


What is the setup like for AA in Atlanta, do you feel "subdued" by DL? (As in you get a less favorable, old-ish concourse, planes get delayed more etc)?
