Sorry but I don't see how I was "already at my destination" has anything to do with it. I could have been delivering documents to a client and AA failed to get me to the outbound portion of my journey to do that. There is no direct routing to SJO from LAS, all flights until the expected 5pm departure to LAX that would have gotten me back to LAS the same day were full.
I'm sure AA could have done something to help me out, it's only a matter of the right person taking it over. Instead they disrupt my travel plans, just wash their hands and offer no more than a refund of the monies paid.
But that's why I'm here asking to see IF it could be done.
Maybe I'm just oo cosseted being from the U.K. where airlines are made to be held accountable when they mess up.
Saying that though BA are a nightmare to deal with, that's if you can get their Filipino agents to understand what you are on about.
