I am doing the same exact flights as in your question/post in a few days time. JAL NRT-SYD and QF SYD-BNE. Albeit in 2 separate bookings (JAL not via QF). Could you update whether the Qantas Seamless Transfer worked for you? We have quite a few baggages as well and it would be great to be rid of it after clearing customs in Sydney and before boarding the QF shuttle bus. Thanks in advance.
