I get this completely! SAS, for example, let you guest up to four family members into their lounges (or one unrelated person). I've found that being Star Gold, sometimes other airlines in Star Alliance will let us all use their Gold lounge if it is separate from their Business lounge - e.g. CDG Lufthansa lounge this morning. It's a great benefit and I do wish BA would catch on. Even if only once a year.
