I'm flying Aer Lingus from Gatwick to Dublin and then again Aer Lingus from Dublin to Boston.

There is four hours between my landing and departure. I booked both legs separately with reward points. There are five of us and we will be flying with carry on luggage only.

We will be flying on a Saturday in July, arriving in Dublin around 12:20, flying out around 4:20.

If I had to do it over, I'd have left more time between flights, as it is now, I'm planning on having lots of extra cash in the bank account if something goes wrong.

What are the chances we're going to miss our long haul back to Boston? Are there things we can do to increase our chances of making it home on time? We are not experienced flyers.

Can you tell me what the security, customs lines will be like?
