Courtenay (and Comox) is a challenge. There are a few good restaurants, but none I'd categorize as "great." For some reason the chefs seem to overly complicate their dishes with a lot of competing flavours.

That being said - Your best bet is probably Atlas.

Tofino is a different story. There are several fantastic places. Most of course lean heavily towards seafood.
