You can't combine two one way tickets, so since you're Plat, what I would do is book a return ticket with your outbound of choice -- and then any return that fits (remember you can do single or double open jaw) -- then when the return you want drops in price get the ticket re-issued with that segment and you'll get to keep your outbound as-is
