Prem and GGL lines now answered in India?
Am I going mad? Is this a late night phenomenon?
I tried both lines (well all the lines) and tonight the same guy answered in Delhi - I asked if he was Manchester or Newcastle and he said Delhi.
He was very nice but said that I should call back after 48 hours as he couldn't see any space releases on my account. Made no sense to me as I renewed on 8 March. Now that is NOT GGL service.
Out of frustration (and from former experience I have an extremely detailed list of BA internal numbers for various departments) I called back on the Prem number and got the same guy!
... and so I tried again a third time and got a guy who did know what he was doing and made the booking for me.
I rarely ever call myself as I have one of my team authorised to handle my account for me... this was the first time in several months, but I don't ever remember landing in an Indian call centre before.
M&S on board or whatever is fine by me, but please don't go downgrading one of the best bits of BA - the UK-based premium teams - unless you are going to train whoever replaces them to the same standards...
Not impressed.
