I was just called by Aeroplan Fraud Protections Department
I was called and left a voicemail by the fraud protections department by aeroplan from a (514) number. The lady didn't say she was from the fraud department but when I tried to call the number the intro said "thank you for calling aeroplan fraud department, please leave a message." Apparently they close at 3:30 and when she did call I was in the middle of working and couldn't pick up! So now I have to wait until Monday to find out.
In the meantime I call aeroplan and wait 30 minutes before someone picks up and I give my deets and they guy says that isn't the address on file. He puts me on hold and sees someone has tried to use some of my points! So now my account is frozen until Monday and I can't log in....guess that mini RTW will have to hold off this weekend!
I am actually surprised that applaud the proactive freezing of my account. The guy on the phone said that none was taken out before they caught it^
