Hmm, my points balance mysteriously increased by 2000 points yesterday, and it looks like it was because 4 app bookings have credited this bonus. These were all stays in Feb to early March.
My stays from mid-March onwards have credited the app bonus at the same time as for the rest of the points from those stays.
I didn't put in any requests for missing points. So ^ to Hilton's IT for catching up with this
