as long as you are not running on the margins of time, you can leave it for the HKG transit desk to fix it for you before you head off to TPE. in HK they would be informed enough.

Planning to choose the longest reasonable connection in HKG, hoping that if anything, HKG transit desk or lounge can do sth and get my luggage rerouted. Thanks!
