I already worked out the math and it makes sense for me - I can rent out the weekly timeshare to recover the maintenance fee and I get better transfer rate.

Just trying to find the lowest cost to get in. Marriott vacation club points would be the cheapest but they charge $3500 min transfer fee that is a sunk cost.
