In what country? In the US my MBNA (UK) Amex contactless card works fine at McDonald's - one of the few places it actually does work flawlessly since they decline at places that use magnetic stripe mode. Though I filed a service tech ticket with them and they said they would look into it.
I did use it successfully yesterday at Rue21 and there's no AID on the receipt so maybe they fixed it? I do need to try somewhere that declined before to be sure.
I was referring to McDonald's locations in the US. Maybe it was some other place I was thinking of.

The card number, expiration date, and CVV all changed with the new contactless card. Android Pay was updated automatically at the time the card was issued.
The card number probably changed because the first replacement effectively got "lost" in the mail (even if it didn't). Normally contactless card requests don't cause that to happen.
