Anyway, it looks like AmEx contactless works at EMV enabled McDonald's locations, at least in Apple Pay form. I remember someone here mentioning they had problems but maybe that was just with the contactless card.
In what country? In the US my MBNA (UK) Amex contactless card works fine at McDonald's - one of the few places it actually does work flawlessly since they decline at places that use magnetic stripe mode. Though I filed a service tech ticket with them and they said they would look into it.
I did use it successfully yesterday at Rue21 and there's no AID on the receipt so maybe they fixed it? I do need to try somewhere that declined before to be sure.
