Experiences with Dolfi1920

After a week of unprofessional service from LH/LX luggage contractor I finally recieved my luggage. The suitcase (''fancey high tech'' samsonite lite-shock) is cracked around one of the wheel, indicating that it had been fallen / hit quite hard (bag wasn't too heavy). The delivery guy said to call the luggage contractor. The LC send me instructions to go to DOLFI1920 page and file a report over there. Browsing that site it seems that they are going to come pick up the bag, then try to repair it. If they can't repair it they'll replace the bag with a similar one. Should I bother with all of this or should I just buy a new suitcase and forward the receipt to my travel insurance? The reason why I don't want to do this immediately is because I find that the money for the repair should come out of their pocket and not my pocket (I'm the one paying insurance premiums at the end).

So what are you experiences regarding Dolfi? If it's going to be too much hassle (long argument about value, depreciation, what is a similar type of luggage etc.) I'll contact insurance.
