There's a similar distinction a size smaller, with a separate Group for the 2WD cars.
You can't book an F4, but you may well get allocated one. It is not considered a downgrade.
So L is AWD but not explicitly advertised as such? Curious to know how you know this/where it is documented, or if it's just general experience. If that's the case then going to 2WD definitely seems like a downgrade to me.
