The problem is, when you insert a foreign Visa/MC card, the machine won't let you type in an amount; it just gives you a list of options; multiples of 10k yen or 10 x 1000 yen bills. It's really really annoying and one of the reasons I don't use their machines if I don't have to. Aeon, Post Office, and Prestia ATMs will let you type in a specific amount without issue.
