I am thinking about redeeming some of my points for reward stays. Is there a good rule of the thumb as to how much HHonors points are worth? Say 35,000 points for a category 5 with internet rate of $169 and AAA rate of $179 on the weekend I would like to stay. At the same property, the rate during the week is around $287. I guess what I'm trying to find out is should I pay for the rooms or redeem my points.

Any advice would be appreciated.
