Just found an option that I didn't know existed. We're planning a Summer holiday in Thailand and there are a handful of CC properties there for slightly fewer points than Dubai properties. Might be a good option.
It is quite a poor return for points in Bangkok, as paid rate can be quite low. I think redemption in Europe offers the best value, but that's only if you plan to go there.
