Hi, quick clarification please...

Mrs FO (Blue) is flying on her own LGW-AGP today, and was mildly irritated by poor choice of seats at OLCI.

She has just been told by gate staff that she could have chosen a seat a week ago courtesy of my gold status. Apparently she also gets extra baggage allowance (although not neeed). I would expect this if I was on the booking, but as I am not travelling, I would assume she would receive only blue benefits.

I've never heard of this and couldn't see it on website. Does this transfer of benefit really exist?
