As I recall it, it happened to me in the past (1 time long ago, but I don't really recall the details anymore).

I haven't used PL for years (no significant savings now; certainly not like 5-8 years ago) but as I recall it, to achieve the same as you I either used an expired VISA/MC card No. and made up a random exp. date - or I used a credit card that was no longer working/had been revoked before its expiry date; I would then use the exp. date stated on the card. I always used random CCV numbers; it made no difference.
