After checking in you walk to your right (towards the entrance to the terminal, not the gates) for the boarding pass check. You then loop around behind the check in desks for security and then down the corridor into the lounge.
It enters the F lounge to the right of the main entrance, in the corner you have probably never used. 99% of people veer right towards the toilets, champagne bar and business centre - for the other 1% there is some additional seating and a coffee area. You enter there.
ah, this is the problem with the image i had in my head; i imagined that from the terminal entrance you go to the first check-in counters and then keep walking the direction of the planes (East.) Now I get it, the security is to the right (South) of the check-in desks.
