My condolences. As cjd pointed out, the sale of points violates the terms of Hilton's program. Delta's is the same. IMO this makes all organizations that offer to buy points risky to deal with. May I suggest that unless you're considering these offers because the cash is critical you look for ways to redeem the points on flights & nights to make people happy. Plan trips for yourself, buy trips for family or friends, or donate the miles to charity programs the travel providers operate.
