The hotel is down to category 2. Has anyone been able to make a reservation using points?

I can't find a single room on points, tried many times and many dates. Tells me to contact SPG: SPG say they only have upgraded room types bookable for points, however, I find loads of standard rooms (classic room) online, their lowest category.
