The EWR-HKG daily isn't full most days is it, I can't see them adding IAD-HKG, although I too would love that flight on a 787 instead of a non polaris 777.
Polaris 77W might make it a tie, but for my sinuses, the 787 pressurization makes a big difference to me.
EWR-HKG tends to have good loads, as it is usually pretty full. Cathay has expressed interest in flying IAD-HKG. Maybe it will happen soon if the rumors are true and Cathay leaves OW for *A.
