Okay, so here is what I found out after speaking to somebody at Air Canada:
Best thing is to travel with the Cannabis in carry-on luggage, in original containers, with copy of prescription, license card from my dispensary. Put in clear bag. Alert security staff at airport.
I was told that as standard operating procedure police must be called at the airport, but all they would do is verify the paperwork. I'm not expecting major hassles. I was told to add an extra 1/2 - 1 hour to my processing time at the airport.
As a general rule, us medical cannabis people are allowed to travel anywhere in the country with a one-month supply of cannabis (in my case 60 grams), since my daily allowance is 2 grams. No medical user is allowed to carry on themselves/travel with more than 150 grams.
I will also be bringing my vaporizer (Solo Arizer) and put that into the carry-on as well.
I think this gives a new meaning to "flying high"...or the "mile-high club" ;-)
