It's not so new, BA's LGW prices have long been competing against easyJet, and particularly if booking at the middle distance timeframe they are designed to show up on the fare comparison sites such as Skyscanner.
Verona is £28 each way! But the most amazing of the lot is JER to LGW, a snip at £21.34.
I have to say what really annoys me is paying more to park the car at Newcastle airport than the cost of the flights.

I can not remember when was last time BA had return price lower than £89 even on Weekend fares!!! I think partly the reason is now these promotional routes has no YQ any more.
So technically it is cheaper to pay for the ticket than using Avios if you have the £21.34 ticket!!
The train to NCL is so convenient why not use the train?
