You will need to keep her card on the reservation then to trigger the credit. Yes, Citi does check from experience.
SPG most likely will not enforce the card issue. Technically the member who's name is on the reservation needs to pay and stay. However, in practice, I've paid for a reservation that had my dad's name on it by putting that card down at check-in.
but yes, the billing address on the account supposedly will need to match.
