L are AWD cars, whereas F4 are 2WD ones.
There's a similar distinction a size smaller, with a separate Group for the 2WD cars.
You can't book an F4, but you may well get allocated one. It is not considered a downgrade.
The list price of cars in a group can vary widely, as it is the size (interior room) which is the main consideration for what group to put cars in. There are some anomalies, as ever.
