Yes - the Value the Experience is being sold for 2388HKD for the same (or perhaps one category higher) room, and this includes breakfast. This, to me doesn't seem like much of a difference from the Amex three-night package rate of 2010HKD per night. By the way, everywhere I've seem the three night deal it says that the rate already reflects the 33% discount (to reflect the fact that you're getting a free night). So 2010HKD is what you pay each night, not for two nights and then the third is free. Let me know if you think I'm misunderstanding this, but that's how it reads to me. All I was saying is that I don't think the Amex rate has anything to do with the renovations because it's really not that much better than what the Peninsula website offers at all times (by way of the Value the Experience pacakage).

In any case, I think I'll stick with the Peninsula. As long as the public areas aren't under renovation, it should be fine.
