United Polaris vs ANA Economy Japan/USA

Hi, everyone. Looking for some advice from the wizards on this board.

I did read through "most" of the Polaris Experience thread. Seems the reviews are mixed. And I have flown all classes of ANA at one point or another so am quite familiar with them.

Of course, if it were the case between choosing Economy on ANA vs Economy on any other US Carrier...it is my opinion that ANA would be the way to go.

Anyway, long story short. I am seeing Tokyo to NY direct via United's website on ANA metal economy for 35,000 mileage plus miles. But for 65,000 miles I can fly mixed class, Polaris to SFO/Economy SFO to NY. These are one way.

I am trying to burn miles before they expire and generally speaking don't like to fly UA or accumulate miles on them anymore.

The ANA economy is comfortable and the service is outstanding. Is the Polaris Business experience:
1) Worth the miles. (I can essentially book a RT on ANA for the same amount)... and
2) Nice enough that is worth the enduring the second leg in Economy from SFO to NY?

I know a lot of this may be subjective but curious to hear what others think.

Thanks
