Gotcha. Wording of the OP seemed weird to me (but makes sense now).
In all honesty, I'd take your $59 and just wait it out in the terminals. You can take a stroll through the Plane Train tunnels to wear your legs out before the flight, or head to Concourse E and get a nice meal at One Flew South, or just hole up at any number of mid-range (but still decent) restaurants/bars and get arguably better food/drink than you would in the lounge for the same money.
ATL is, IMO, one of the better airports to spend extra time in if you have to.
Exactly how early will you be getting there? If it's several hours, wouldn't be out of the question to go to the DL museum or something to pass the time.
