I am in a similar situation as you with 9 missing QR segments not posting. The first port of call is the missing partner claim link on the BAEC flight.
It doesn't like the BHX 3 letter code as thinks it's Birmingham New Street...
Several days later I received a mass of mails telling me BA couldn't link the flights and I would have to prove I took the flights via a boarding pass or copy itinerary.
I have therefore scanned and sent to the "supporting docs" link they provided and you referred to above. At a guess this is where the human intervention comes in it being automated up to that point I expect.
All flights posted automatically before 14th March, there seems to be a glitch post this. My FF number is in all my bookings and I double check each time on my BP.
