I agree, you could enjoy a decent meal on the Prague flight. I shuttle back and forth every week and see the decline which I know won't be reversed. I haven't have panini yet, I did my Kosher out and Kids back last week. It was pitiful ! CE crew also needed to help out in ET, which meant service wasn't "full". Interesting you should say about Swiss, I've just booked my next batch of tickets and they're on Swiss. I've found them good and much cheaper as well.
This year I'm not even bothering to aim for Gold,never mind GGL, it's just not worth it!
Before I reverted to BA I used to fly Swiss all the time crediting to BMI.
Even on a 55 min connection at ZRH bags and passengers made the connection and the benefit of a Schengen arrival in PRG saved a few minutes. Fares were £50-£100 cheaper than BA and you could then change them for a fee of £50.
LIving in Stratford I would fly into LCY and the short journey time home would make up for schlep from LHR would more than make up for the change in ZRH.
