I purchased my first WT ticket on BA since early 2015 last week, although I am gold. The total fare price was £29, for UK-LHR-LAX-LHR-UK. Total price with taxes was £298.45. Used the avios the trip earnt to bring the cash price down to £188.45. So considering I will get the following:

Prebooked 80A/B both ways on the A380
2 visits to the flounge (can probably drink most of the ticket price in that time)
1 visit to the LAX First lounge (One of the best in my opinion)
No avios, infact -2000 odd.
60TP'S I think.
Oh and aprox 25 hours of flying.

For £188.45, I think that is pretty amazing value.
For Joe Blogs at £298 without all the gold perks, it's still pretty good vaule, although I would not of have done it at that price and without the gold perks but a non FT type person would of jumped on that deal.

As for the new DEN flights, I'm very happy becuase BA might start selling LHR-DEN at a reasonable price now.
