What about the fact that the crew turns on all the da*m lights 2 hours before landing so they can rush through a breakfast service? So, what do I do? I wear an eyemask!

I am a window seat traveler but always choose a middle (in 2-2-2 config) so I have aisle access and no one climbing over me. In my opinion window seat passengers should have full control over their shade but be considerate of the cabin. When I am at a window and everyone is sleeping, I usually open it every so often to have a peak and then close it.

On the flip side of all of this, I just flew IAH-AMS and in the front biz section, 100% of of the passengers had their window shades closed. I thought it was so odd that no one wants to look outside on a daylight departure!
