On the second part of the comment, I don't think they have these problems on 99% of their flights everyday. The issues you faced seem to be a one off situation as it is very abnormal and again, something went wrong with the pre-flight preparations obviously. I don't think there is a need to castigate them for that though you should of course not be happy, especially if the attitude of the crew was as lax and as slack as it was. I fly the Kul-London route regularly and have only had cause to complain or be unhappy three times over the past 20 years with the attitude of the crew handling my section of the flight.
And that's like 1% of all the flights I take on MH. Maybe even less.
That's nice to hear. I have only just started flying with them but the air of amateurishness I encountered was just utterly astounding.
As the seat technicians were fixing my seat, the cabin crew would come up and report "seat XX also has problems" continuously. Makes one wonder if the airline does its aircraft maintenance to the same standard.
