Zodiac is having enough trouble delivering seats for new 77Ws , and I am certain all manufacturing efforts are directed at getting interiors for these birds first before retrofits begin. At the same time, swapping a sUA 772 with a 77W is a huge capacity jump, so replacing 747 with 77W probably makes more sense in most cases. Exceptions might be former 747 routes like ORD-NRT/HKG that are 777s now, or SFO-SYD. Still, the 77Ws should be pretty well occupied by replacing most of the current slate of 744 flying.
FWIW, Air India is reporting a material increase in bookings and average fares on its US-bound flights due to the infamous electronics ban, so maybe UA might reconsider backing off its initial (rumored) plans to put the 77W on EWR-India flights.
Let's hope they put it on SFO-SYD soon as I am flying that route this summer
