(7) Do you have FFP status of any kind in OW or other airline? What is it? Do you have any miles banked in a FFP?
(AA Executive Platinum, QF Gold, UA 1K, LAN Comodoro, etc)
Reply: No status, 350k AAdvantage miles and about 120k Alaska (I know it's not Oneworld, but the American/Alaska relationship may help?)
With AA & AS you have no where to change to, that will be better.
As AA & AS partners you have a big cross over, unless uyou are getting ff miles fron credit cards.
AS is a good ffp as it has many partners in OW & Skyteam
As for award cost in ff miles it is what it is. USA based ffp's tend to lower without surcharges.
Look at www.awardace.com and other like this.
