so far this year out of 18 stays I have been upgraded at the HR Chicago; Printers Row (huge hot tub and sauna in room!); 5 nights in Istanbul on FFN; & GH NYC -- all without asking. 6 other stays were in Japan . . . and I have never gotten an upgrade (other than RC) in many stays in Japan. I sure can't complain.
