Something about the layout irked me - it just didn't feel right.

But more importantly, the furnishings are of very, very poor quality and already showing signs of wear and tear, and the upkeep/maintenance is even worse. The hotel isn't that old.

The shower looked like something out of a school changing room and had mould growing at the side of it. I'd think twice about stepping into the bathtub...The rooms felt quite dusty too and in need of a good clean.

If I recall, the rates aren't that different from something like Anantara, Park Hyatt, Raffles etc which is insane.

Heritage Suites certainly looks intriguing in the photos (which is why I went over to visit), but I don't think I could recommend it to anyone I know! I didn't even bother taking any photos.
