Reading the information posted previously about CAA regulations then these seem to suggest that rear facing seats are fine in forward facing seats. Given that BA CW sests are in yang yang formation this would present problems. There is no indication from OP if they were travelling CW but suspect BA's stance would relate to some passengers bringing rear facing seats on board but not being able to use in these rear facing CW sests. Is it better to give one clear piece of advice rather than mix and match between aircraft and cabins?
