CDG T1 connection problem... I would always avoid such connection if travelling with checked baggage that I need at the arrival of the flight...

No change of clothes and no, toiletries? Why did you not pack replacement clothes (1 set) and toiletries in your carry-on bag? Checked bags can always get delayed...
