Sadly since you're coming from the US there's no skipping Canada customs/immigration. If you were coming into Canada from anywhere else you could skip Canadian immigration/customs and proceed to the US preclearance.

Since this is a MR, I assume no luggage. Otherwise will have to pick back up and drop off at the self-service bag drop.
